This presentation is specifically tailored to address domestic violence, sexual assault, and dating violence. The Seeing (RED) Series gives voice to the victims & survivors as a holistic approach. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness poetry and storytelling while identifying the ethics of being a good listener and help to communicate the importance of advocacy and activism within the work of violence. When dating violence awareness is highlighted, Seeing (RED) directly speaks to queer relationships, healthy boundaries, and owning your own power. Ebony uses poetry and audience interaction to speak on real-life experiences, while also focusing on the intersectionalities of sexuality, orientation, discrimination, and a safe space to ask questions free of judgement.

Objectives include:

  • Identify instances of sex discrimination
  • Evaluate repercussions of sex discrimination
