Made up of four of the most accomplished singer/instrumentalists in the Midwest, they are capable of delivering everything from the biggest country hits to the most driving rock classics. Playing nearly 200 shows a year in 2009-2010, the band has earned a well deserved reputation as the "next big thing" in Country Music... being compared to acts such as "Lady Antebellum" and "Sugarland". When SLAMABAMA plays a venue, two things are for sure... everyone has a great time and they can't wait for the band to return! Vocalist/Lead Guitarist J Juliano has performed shows throughout the Southeast and Midwest for thousands of enthusiastic fans. An electric, multi-talented performer, he has shared the stage with many award-winning artists such as Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Diamond Rio, Sawyer Brown, and a host of others. A published writer in Nashville, J has been bestowed the honors of both the Italian American Community of Chicago's "David Award" for Music and is a two time winner of the coveted "Best of Rockford Platinum Award. In 2007, Juliano was awarded the honor of "Best New Country Artist" in the Midwest and earned a spot at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Tennessee as one of 5 artists out of over 60,000 from around the USA in the 25th Annual Colgate Country Showdown. Vocalist Rosanna Juliano has performed alongside husband, J Juliano in SLAMABAMA since it's inception. Rosanna, raised in Kentucky, moved to Nashville right after college where she honed her skills in the studio as a demo singer for a major Music City publishing company and various songwriters. She cites influences from Linda Rondstadt to Loretta Lynn and has shared the stage with such industry greats as Jo Dee Messina and Tracy Lawrence. She also headlined several shows, including "Live at Libby's" (a weekly country music radio broadcast) and the Nashville Palace. Rosanna is quickly becoming known for her warm vocal tone and her unique and authentic blend of classic and contemporary country styles. Add that to her dynamic, fun loving and endearing stage presence and you've got a complete package rarely found in the industry today. Bassist/Vocalist Dennis Gilpatrick's background is a perfect example of that
of the most accomplished musician. A master of his instrument, Dennis is one
of the most versatile bassists in the industry. His work has appeared on instructional
audio that accompanied the book "Jazz Guitar Lines", written by Miami-Dade
Professor Dan "Lucky" Elden and released by Warner Bros. Drummer Derek Bernal began playing music at the age of four and already had
what is called "natural talent". First starting on guitar and then
keys, he quickly found his calling after sitting behind a friend`s drumkit.
By the age of 12 he had already studied the drum concepts of John Bonham, Neil
Peart, Mitch Mitchell, and countless other drum heavyweights. Needing more challenging
material with which to learn from, he ventured into the realm of what is known
as "Fusion". Take all of those ingredients, and you have a group whose shows will leave
you breathless, whose musicianship will leave you in awe and whose energy will
