You want a show? Well, this is a SHOW! You want to dance? You will DANCE! In the tradition of several great funk and soul singers, Sharon Jones began early in life, singing in the church choir. As time went on, her brilliant showmanship and stage presence grew to become second nature. It was no wonder that her earlier up and coming bands were asked to open for such acts as The Four Tops, Maceo Parker, and The Drifters. She is now backed by Daptone Records' sensational house band, The Dap-Kings. In the great tradition of Motown acts such as James Brown, The Temptations and Aretha Franklin, Sharon Jones is quickly becoming America's #1 Soul Sister. Together, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings are a 'dyn-o-mite' sensation, sweeping the nation with their dynamic and live, funk and soul revue.
