More than just dancing, Say Salsa provides students and clients with an understanding of Spanish culture, language, music and the arts. Our students take part in a variety of dance and cultural activities. In addition to the lessons, Say Salsa provides performers and or instructors for corporate, civic and private events throughout the country. The troupe offers performances and instructions in numerous forms of Latin dance including: Mambo, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, (Cuban), Merenge, Samba, Cumbia (Mexican style) Bachata (Dominican Republic) Lambata and Latin Dirty dancing. Whether you are an audience member, student or merely observing, Say Salsa delivers an exhilarating experience. Classes are formed as needed for group and private lessons at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Say Salsa has held long-term engagements at some of the hottest venues in Chicago such as Carnivale Restaurant in River West. We have been featured on a variety of TV programs. Say Salsa has performed and provided lessons at numerous events for: The City of Chicago, Sister Cities, the Chicago Park District, the Chicago History Museum and many others. Say Salsa’s performers and instructors can add sizzle and excitement to a variety of events. We pair well with Salsa bands; D.J.’s or will provide our own music. Say Salsa has been approached by couples who wish to learn Salsa for their first dance as husband and wife at their wedding. Say Salsa’s Premiere instructor and performer, Jerome, has had performed nationally and internationally for much of his adult life; and brings a unique style of movement to the dance. Jerome leads an All-Star cast of Say Salsa performers, and instructors and has personally taught and choreographed many of the leading dancers across the country.
