Bio

Ryan Conner "has all the makings of a great stand-up," says Punchline Magazine. In a few short years, he has developed a style of sharp story-telling that is "unique and extremely funny," also according to Punchline Magazine. Ryan doesn't know anyone who works for Punchline Magazine. He promises.

His stand-up act has earned him a position as a contributing writer for Saturday Night Live. Other TV credits have ranged from being in a pilot for the NFL Network, to doing 2008 post-election commentary for the BBC.

Originally from Washington, DC and based in New York City, Ryan is a regular at many of the top clubs in the country. He has also worked with some of the best comedians of this generation, including Dave Chappelle, Colin Quinn, Mike Birbiglia and Mitch Hedberg. All this has led On-Tap Magazine, Washington DC's leading entertainment guide, to label him a "stand-up comedy phenom."

Some nice things people have said about Ryan:

Read comedyreviews.me review of Ryan’s new DVD “Chinese Secrets”

“Conner is smart, witty, incisive and approachable and he has the crowd on his side from the first moment he takes the stage. He is relaxed and comfortable and with him in the driver’s seat, we feel safe. There’s no need to check Google Maps or bring along the Tomtom; Conner knows exactly where he’s going and he knows the best routes to the punchline like the back of his hand.”

"Chris,
I just wanted to write to thank you for helping us bring Ryan Conner back to Toquet Hall. It seems like every time he comes back here, he's got a fresh new set of material and the students love it. We usually don't know exactly how a crowd is going to react, but with Ryan there is always laughter from start to finish.

The students on our programming board have also noticed people talking about his set on Facebook, myspace and at school following the show. I think he's starting to develop a good following of kids.

It's also nice that he interacts so well with the crowd and can really play off of the students. We've got a couple of kids who are aspiring comics themselves and we usually try to give them a few minutes on stage to open the show. Ryan has been great about talking to each of them at the end of the night and giving them feedback.

We definitely look forward to having Ryan back again and would be happy to recommend him to anyone looking for a great young comic to perform at their school.

Thanks again for all your help."

"When you came to Concordia College in Moorhead. . . I thought you were... amazing!"

"I was just astounded by your performance last night. I especially liked the beginning when you were talking more about politics and cloning; I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt and my throat got dry and sore. You are definitely the most entertaining comic I have seen at this school since I have been here... I will recommend to the student activities board that you are invited back..."

"Hey, I just wanted to say that you did an amazing job at Ball State last night!! I really don't know the last time I laughed that hard. You were awesome!"

"Good Morning Chris,
Assumption had [Ryan] a few weeks ago and as a Catholic college we always have to make sure that our comedians are both clean and funny. Ryan did a great job at making the students laugh while still remaining appropriate. Below is a short recommendation from our CAB board.

On November 14, 2007, Assumption College's Campus Activities Board (CAB) brought Comedian Ryan Conner as one of their Comedian this semester. He was an excellent performer. His routine was clean and very appropriate for the college crowd. Ryan also brought an equally funny opener who got the crowd ready for his performance. Assumption College's CAB would recommend Ryan Connor to any institution that is looking for a funny comedian who interacts with the crowd and brings laughter and smiles to all while remaining clean and appropriate throughout his routine.

Thank you again!"
