Pan Go Steel BandFast FactsLocation: BioPan-Go celebrates Caribbean music through the use of Trinidad steel pans. Their exciting blend of Caribbean and American rhythms will move young and old alike. The band's seven members provide a musical and visual feast as their hands dance across the surfaces of steel pans and Latin percussion instruments. Calypso, Soca, Samba, Reggae, Jazz, and Pop are all part of their joyful, feel-good sound. Pan-Go strives to recreate the music and spirit of Trinidad
and Tobago's steel bands. The group, formed by Paul G. Ross in 1988,
performs his original compositions and arrangements on the four main
instruments of the steel pan family: Tenor pan, Double Tenor pans, Double
Second pans, and Cello pans, alongside an electric bass, acoustic d
drum set, and a variety of other percussive instruments. |
