Meg AllisonFast FactsLocation: Nashville, TN ***WINNER*** ************ BIOMeg Allison is a born storyteller and performer. Back and forth between Chicago and Nashville, she is paying her dues as an emerging acoustic artist, touring and honing her craft. Meg writes the melodies that stick, with the lyrics you’ve lived. Her songs are not only inspired by her life, but by the artists she most admires such as Martin Sexton, Patty Griffin, Ryan Adams, and Ray LaMontagne.
Now with the release of her debut album, “Missing Piece”, it appears that Meg is finally being discovered. The album produced by Chris Keup (Jason Mraz, Jonathan Rice) and Stewart Myers (Lifehouse, Rachel Yamagata) has been earning critical praise and her song “Old Soul” recently won Songwriters Universe “Best Song” competition. Meg has performed at two National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) conferences where she booked over eighty shows in one semester. She was also recently picked from over 20,000 applicants to appear on this season of USA network’s Nashville Star. Meg’s dreams are slowly coming true with a little luck, a lot of talent and hard work.
Meg has teamed up with Joshua Stevens! Both artists appeared on “Nashville Star” in January 2007 and have been backing each other up ever since. They have performed at over 100 colleges throughout the Midwest and Northeast, bringing Nashville’s “Writers in the Round” style of show. Nice things people are saying about Meg and Josh: "SHE IS AWESOME!!!!!!! I totally love her!
