When should I apply?

We start to interview/hire interns approximately 1 month prior to the beginning of an internship period. If you desire a Fall internship, apply in June.
If you desire a Spring internship, apply in November.
If you desire a Summer internship, apply in March.

Do you have any permanent job openings?

At this time we are not hiring any permanent help. Interns that have worked here in the past have obtained permanent positions, but currently we don't have room for anyone else!

Is the internship paid?

YES! We do pay you. The current going rate is $6.50 per hour.

What will I be doing as an intern?

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Maintaining artist and client relations
  • Assisting agents and staff with various marketing strategies
  • Support agents during various conferences including NACA, SPRA, APCA, AFA, and more
  • Assemble and distribute promotional materials
  • Assist with administrative duties
  • Assist with acquiring new talent

Depending on your interests, we will try to accommodate at least one project pertaining to that interest, whether it is focusing on agenting, marketing, administrative, or a little bit of everything.

What do I need to send in to apply?

We are currently taking resumes with cover letters. You can e-mail it to info@bass-schuler.com or fax it to 773-481-2601.

(if you send your resume and do not hear back from us, we apologize, but there isn't time to respond to all inquiries. Please feel free to send a follow-up e-mail!)

What are my chances of becoming a Bass/Schuler Intern?

We will consider anyone who applies for an internship. We will first consider people who have the following qualifications:

  • Currently attending a college or university
  • Seeking an internship for college credit

If you fit into these categories, then you have a better chance at getting an internship. We get the most applications for summer internships and the least for spring internships. If you want to increase your chances, apply in the spring and fall.

What some past interns have said about interning at Bass/Schuler

"Bass/Schuler Entertainment is a great place to develop new skills and begin your career in the entertainment industry." - Meredith Carreira, Spring '04

"The time I spent at Bass/Schuler taught me so much about what goes on at a busy agency. I feel like I really got to know the agents, artists, and our customers. I also learned what takes place from the first phone call to the actual performance. I now have a greater appreciation of what a tough job the artists and agents really have." - Jennifer Hall, Summer '02
