Bio

Classical Blast is an innovative musical group that crosses genres, combining rock music with classical instruments. Classical Blast’s style, technique and tools breathe new life into contemporary rock music as well as the classics. Classical Blast provides a fresh take on rock music by performing classic to current rock music on classical instruments. Featuring classically trained musicians from Romania, Classical Blast brings the classical arts to mainstream entertainment. Their style, technique and tools breathe new life into modern music as well as the classics.

Bandleader/cellist Petar Kecenovoci has toured worldwide with such notable artists as Dennis DeYoung (Styx), Randy Jackson, George Benson, Jordin Sparks & Clay Aiken as well as with groups Cheap Trick, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller, il Divo and others. He has performed for Broadway shows and at Disney’s Epcot Center. Classical Blast also consists of the best musical talent and showmanship Chicago has to offer.

From Bach to classic rock (Pink Floyd, The Who, Eric Clapton, SuperTramp) to contemporary rock & pop (Metallica, Green Day, ColdPlay, Eurhythmics, Nirvana & MORE), you’ll find their performance exhilarating and their music refreshing.
