This rider is part and parcel to contract dated _______________, 2002 by and between DC Benny, hereinafter referred to as “Artist”, and ________________________________________, hereinafter referred to as “Purchaser”.
Purchaser agrees to provide a minimum 4’ x 8’ stage at a minimum height of 12”, or at an appropriate height for Artist to be visible from all parts of the performance hall.
Purchaser
agrees to provide a sound system capable of providing clear, undistorted, and
evenly distributed sound throughout the entire audience area. In addition, Artist will require a
professional quality microphone (Shure SM58 or
equivalent) with a straight microphone stand.
Artist should be lit in such a manner as to be clearly visible from the
rear of the room. A spot light is
usually best.
No portion of program may be recorded without prior written consent of Artist.
Artist may cancel and terminate this contract and the services to be rendered hereunder without liability, on thirty (30) days prior written notice to the Purchaser in the event that Artist’s engagement hereunder would interfere or conflict with the preparation, performance, or other activity relating to a television appearance, motion picture, legitimate stage production, or recording agreement. Additionally, Artist may cancel this engagement and be released from liability or damages due to an act of GOD, or any other condition beyond his control.
Lodging shall be provided at a quality hotel (Hilton, Marriott, Embassy Suites, or equivalent). The room should have cable television and touch-tone phone service. A NON-SMOKING room, should be reserved in the name of “DC Benny” with proper arrangements made for billing procedures.
TRANSPORTATION (IF
NECESSARY)
Transportation should be provided to and from airport and to and from place of engagement.
Audience members should be requested to sit in front seats first. Ushers may prove helpful at this point. The audience should be seated as a group, closely together.
